MEDIA ADVISORY: Higgins Announces Hearing on Biden Admin’s Failure to Prepare for the End of Title 42
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Border Security and Enforcement Chairman Clay Higgins (R-LA) announced a hearing on Tuesday, June 6 at 2:00 PM ET to examine the Biden administration’s failure to prepare for the end of Title 42 on May 11.
“President Biden and Secretary Mayorkas have failed this country with their open border policies. Instead of securing the Southern border in preparation for the end of Title 42, their strategy was to continue incentivizing lawlessness at the expense of the American people and to tie the hands of our dedicated Border Patrol,” Chairman Higgins said. “This Committee will not stand idly by as our borders fall into the hands of criminal cartels. I look forward to this opportunity to shed light on this devastating border crisis and demand the Biden administration enforce our nation’s laws in the wake of Title 42.”
