MEDIA ADVISORY: Chairman Mark Green Announces Full Committee Hearing to Address the Iranian Regime’s Persistent and Dangerous Threats to Homeland Security

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark E. Green, MD (R-TN) announced a hearing next Wednesday, October 18, at 10:00 AM ET, to examine threats posed by the Iranian regime to U.S. homeland security.

“The recent cowardly and despicable attacks on Israel by Hamas terrorists demonstrate once again the Iranian regime’s unending commitment to destroying Israel. These sophisticated and coordinated attacks remind us that Iran remains a threat to U.S. homeland security, and will stop at nothing to undermine our interests in the region, as well,” Chairman Green said. “In this hearing, we will hear unvarnished and objective perspectives about what the Iranian regime is capable of and the threats it poses going forward.”
