MEDIA ADVISORY: Gimenez Announces Hearing on TSA Budget With Administrator Pekoske
WASHINGTON, D.C. — House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Transportation and Maritime Security Chairman Carlos Gimenez (R-FL) announced a hearing next Thursday, June 22, on the Biden administration’s Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Fiscal Year 2024 Budget request, featuring testimony from TSA Administrator David Pekoske.
“Miami International Airport is one of the largest ports of entry in the United States, so I deeply appreciate TSA’s crucial mission as well as the hard work of its dedicated workforce across the country and of Administrator Pekoske to secure the homeland,” Chairman Gimenez said. “Following years of challenges in air travel, the flying public deserves reassurance that this agency has the necessary tools and resources to combat a multitude of threats, including the advancement of drone technology and empowered malign actors.
