Katko on TSA Accepting Arrest Warrants
WASHINGTON, D.C.— Rep. John Katko (R-NY), Ranking Member of the House Committee on Homeland Security, issued the following statement on TSA’s confirmation that it is allowing illegal migrants to use arrest warrants as a form of ID at airport security checkpoints:
“In light of media reports and confirmation by the Transportation Security Administration that the agency is accepting arrest warrants as an acceptable form of identification for illegal migrants at airport security checkpoints, I am calling on the Department of Homeland Security to immediately end this policy. It is completely unacceptable that an illegal migrant with an arrest warrant would be allowed to pass through security screening and board a flight without alerting Immigration and Customs Enforcement or other law enforcement. With crime and illegal migration at record numbers in this country, there is no excuse for this irresponsible and misguided policy. It is long past time for the Biden Administration to prioritize the safety and security of law-abiding Americans over those who violate the law.”
