Rep. Rogers Statement on Operation Stolen Promise

WASHINGTON – Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Ala.), House Homeland Security Committee ranking member, released the following statement after the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) announced the launch of Operation Stolen Promise, an initiative to protect Americans from threats posed by COVID-19 related fraud and other criminal activity.

“I applaud the work of HSI and the Trump Administration to launch Operation Stolen Promise and bring to justice the criminals who are targeting vulnerable Americans during this pandemic,” Rep. Rogers said. “We must harness every tool at our disposal to stop these bad actors from monopolizing over the tragedy we are facing. As our government works to curb the exploitation by these criminals, I encourage Americans to stay vigilant and be cautious of financial fraud scams and fake safety equipment.”
