Rogers Welcomes Rep. Dan Bishop to Homeland Security Committee
WASHINGTON – Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Ala.), ranking member of the House Homeland Security Committee, today announced that Rep. Dan Bishop (R-N.C.) will be joining the committee and that Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-Texas) will be stepping off.
“I am excited to welcome Rep. Bishop to the Homeland Security Committee. Dan will bring a wealth of private sector experience, as well as a background in state government,” Rogers said. “As the committee seeks to secure the border, combat emerging threats, and stop the spread of terrorism, I am sure Dan will hit the ground running on these important issues. I also want to thank Rep. Ratcliffe for his meaningful contributions and dedication during his time on the committee.”
“I am pleased to join the Homeland Security Committee,” Bishop said. “Securing the border and ensuring the prompt and effective distribution of disaster relief and capacities to respond to future disasters are top priorities as I work to serve the people of the 9th District. I look forward to working with Ranking Member Rogers and members of the committee on these important issues.”
