MEDIA ADVISORY: Subcommittee Hearing on TSA’s FY25 Budget, Featuring Administrator Pekoske

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Transportation and Maritime Security, led by Chairman Carlos Gimenez (R-FL), will hold a hearing tomorrow, Wednesday, May 15, at 2:30 PM ET, to examine the Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 budget proposal for the Transportation and Security Administration (TSA), featuring testimony from TSA Administrator David Pekoske.
“TSA has an immense responsibility to screen and protect the traveling public amid a dynamic and evolving threat landscape. The agency and its critical frontline workforce must be properly equipped to accomplish their mission while ensuring air travel is as seamless as possible for families in Miami and across the country,” Chairman Gimenez said. “I look forward to hearing from Administrator Pekoske on his budget proposal, streamlining the timeline for new aviation screening technology implementation, and how my Committee can support TSA’s ability to identify and detect threats to our nation.”
The hearing will be livestreamed on YouTube and will be open to the public and press.
