MEDIA ADVISORY: Gimenez Announces Hearing on Securing America’s Maritime Border
WASHINGTON, D.C. — House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Transportation and Maritime Security Chairman Carlos Gimenez (R-FL) will host a hearing on securing our nation’s maritime border as America faces the devastating impacts of President Biden and Secretary Mayorkas’ reckless policies.
Subcommittee on Transportation and Maritime Security hearing entitled, “Securing America’s Maritime Border: Challenges and Solutions for U.S. National Security.”
“Our maritime borders are one of our nation’s most frequented points of entry, and they are in the midst of a national security crisis under this administration,” said Subcommittee Chairman Gimenez. “In the last two years, communities in South Florida and across the country have witnessed rampant drug smuggling and human trafficking by criminal cartels, who have continued to reap the benefits of President Biden and Secretary Mayorkas’ reckless open-border policies. Securing America’s maritime border is crucial to the security of our nation. I am looking forward to hearing from federal and state authorities, who are working tirelessly to prevent drugs and migrants from illegally entering the United States.”
