WASHINGTON – Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Ala.), ranking member of the House Homeland Security Committee, today released a statement following the release of the Trump administration’s plan to strengthen border security and reform legal immigration.
“A White House plan to boost border security and reform our immigration system is a welcome step,” Rogers said. “The administration isn’t able to go it alone – Congress must carry out its Constitutional duty to legislate to address the serious challenges at our southwest border. I am hopeful this proposal will open negotiations. We must address the growing humanitarian and national security crisis.”
