Katko Statement on Confirmation of Chris Inglis as National Cyber Director
WASHINGTON, DC – Rep. John Katko (R-NY), Ranking Member of the House Committee on Homeland Security, issued the following statement on the Senate confirmation of Chris Inglis as the first ever National Cyber Director:
“As we work to recover from several of the most dangerous and impactful cyber attacks against our country, our cybersecurity defenses must not only account for the threats of today but also for the emerging risks of tomorrow. I would like to congratulate Chris Inglis on his confirmation as the first ever National Cyber Director. He will be a key player in efforts to advance our cyber capabilities by integrating the work being conducted across the federal government to secure our networks and enhance national cybersecurity resilience. I look forward to working closely with Chris to address what I believe is the greatest threat to our national security.”
