Homeland Republicans Release “Startling Stats” on Mounting Border Crisis

WASHINGTON, DC – Rep. John Katko (R-NY), Ranking Member of the House Committee on Homeland Security, released the first edition of Homeland Republicans’ “Startling Stats” factsheet highlighting how the humanitarian crisis and public health crisis at the border continue to intensify as a result of the Biden Administration’s open border policies.

For weeks, Homeland Security Republicans, led by Ranking Member Katko, have warned of a dangerous surge in encounters at the border and urged the Biden Administration to reconsider sweeping policy rollbacks.

We’ve also seen a growing number of Democrats publicly share Homeland Republicans’ concerns about the impact President Biden’s policies are having on border communities and the ability to manage the influx of migrants at the border – a welcomed bipartisan development in what is ultimately an American issue.
