Rogers Votes for Bipartisan Border Supplemental

WASHINGTON — Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Ala), ranking member of the House Homeland Security Committee, released the following statement after voting for a bipartisan border supplemental:

“I’m glad that House Democrats finally came to their senses and joined Republicans in advancing a bipartisan border supplemental that will now head to President Trump’s desk. While this compromise isn’t perfect, it addresses the immediate humanitarian and security crisis at our southwest border. Our work doesn’t end here — we must continue to address the root causes of the crisis by closing the loopholes that smugglers and criminals continue to exploit.”
