McCaul Statement on President Trump’s Fiscal Year 2018 Budget Proposal
Washington, D.C. – House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX) issued the following statement on the release of the Administration’s FY2018 budget proposal.
Chairman McCaul: “I am pleased to see President Trump demonstrate his commitment to American safety in the 2018 budget proposal. His emphasis on strengthening our military and properly funding the Department of Homeland Security and Department of Defense will protect our citizens at home and abroad. The President continues to make cybersecurity a top priority along with his steadfast promise to secure our borders. I am particularly pleased with the proposed 1.6 billion dollar increase for border wall funding and funding for additional technology and personnel along our southern border. I look forward to talking with Secretary Kelly in the near future and continuing to work with the Trump Administration to protect our homeland and citizens.”
