McCaul Statement on Supreme Court Ruling on Enhanced Vetting
Washington, D.C. – House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX) released the following statement on the Supreme Court decision to uphold President Trump’s Proclamation 9645 Enhancing Vetting Capabilities and Processes for Detecting Attempted Entry Into the United States by Terrorists or Other Public-Safety Threats.
Chairman McCaul: “As threats to our homeland continue to grow we need to make sure that individuals entering our country do not pose a risk to our national security. We should not allow people from adversarial states or conflict zones into America until they have been vetted to the fullest extent possible. I applaud the Supreme Court for its important decision that will better protect Americans and I urge Congress to take action to secure our Southern border.”
