McCaul Announces New Committee Member
Washington, D.C. – House Homeland Security Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX) today released the following statement announcing the newest addition to the Homeland Security Committee, Rep. Don Bacon (R-NE).
Chairman McCaul: “I am pleased to welcome Rep. Don Bacon to the Homeland Security Committee. Don’s nearly 30 years in the Air Force and his experience in cyber security and airborne reconnaissance will prove greatly beneficial to the Committee. He will provide a new and distinct perspective and contribute to our goal of protecting our homeland from all threats.”
Note: Rep. Bacon will serve on the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection and Border and Maritime Security Subcommittees. Rep. Garrett will now serve on the Oversight and Management Efficiency Subcommittee and will remain on the Emergency Preparedness, Response, and Communications Subcommittee.
