TOMORROW @ 2PM: Hearing on CBP’s Use of Facial Recognition Technology at Ports of Entry
(WASHINGTON) – Tomorrow, Wednesday, July 27th at 2:00pm, the Subcommittee on Border Security, Facilitation, and Operations, chaired by Rep. Nanette Barragán (D-CA), will hold a hearing to hear from stakeholders tracking Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) deployment of facial recognition technology at ports of entry. Witnesses will discuss concerns regarding the continued deployment of facial recognition technology related to accuracy, bias, and privacy in verifying traveler identities.
