  • H.R. 3674, The Promoting and Enhancing Cybersecurity and Information Sharing Effectiveness Act of 2011 (The PRECISE Act)

    H.R. 3674, (Mr. Lungren) To amend the Homeland Security Act of 2002 to make certain improvements in the laws relating to cybersecurity, and for other purposes.  The “Promoting and Enhancing Cybersecurity and Information Sharing Effectiveness Act of 2011” or the “PRECISE Act of 2011”, as amended, was agreed to by voice vote and reported to the House with a favorable recommendation by a recorded vote of 16 to 13.

    The following amendments were adopted by the Committee:

    An Amendment in the Nature of a Substitute offered by Mr. Lungren (CA), agreed to, as amended, by voice vote.

    ·         An Amendment to the Amendment in the Nature of a Substitute, offered by Mr. McCaul (TX), agreed to by voice vote.

    ·         An Amendment to the Amendment in the Nature of a Substitute, offered by Mr. McCaul (TX), agreed to by voice vote.

    ·         An Amendment to the Amendment in the Nature of a Substitute, offered by Mr. King (NY), agreed to by voice vote.

    ·         An Amendment to the Amendment in the Nature of a Substitute, offered by Mr. Richmond (LA), agreed to by voice vote.

    ·         An Amendment to the Amendment in the Nature of a Substitute, offered by Ms. Hahn (CA), agreed to by voice vote.
