311 Cannon House Office Building

Witness Includes:

  • The Honorable W. Craig Fugate, Administrator, Federal Emergency Management Agency, U.S. Department of Homeland Security

Subcommittee Chairman Susan W. Brooks (R-IN) on the hearing: “In these difficult fiscal times it is important that FEMA fulfills its missions while at the same time remaining a good steward of taxpayer money. We need to ensure that our Nation can continue to prepare for, respond to and mitigate against disasters and ensure that our first responders have the training, tools and resources needed in order to continue to do their courageous work. This hearing will take an in depth look at the President’s Fiscal Year 2015 budget request for FEMA. I am interested in hearing more about how FEMA proposes to allocate resources to maintain and sustain their current missions and what strategic priorities the Agency will focus on in 2015.”
