Markup of H.R. 4251 and Committee Activity Report

H.R. 4251, (Mrs. Miller of Michigan) To authorize, enhance, and reform certain port security programs through increased efficiency and risk-based coordination within the Department of Homeland Security, and for other purposes. The “Securing Maritime Activities through Risk-based Targeting for Port Security Act" or "The SMART Port Security Act.”; was ordered to be reported to the House with a favorable recommendation, amended, by voice vote.
An Amendment in the Nature of a Substitute (#1) offered by Mrs. Miller (MI), agreed to by voice vote.
An amendment to the Amendment in the Nature of a Substitute (#1A) offered by Ms. Richardson (CA), agreed to by unanimous consent.
An amendment to the Amendment in the Nature of a Substitue (#1B) offered by Mr. Cravaack (MN), agreed to by unanimous consent.
