Subcommittee Hearing: “H.R. 1690, The MODERN Security Credentials Act”
On Wednesday, May 4, 2011 the Committee on Homeland Security’s Subcommittee on Transportation Security will hold a legislative hearing on “H.R. 1690, The MODERN Security Credentials Act,” a bill to be introduced prior to the hearing. The Committee will meet at 2:00 p.m. in 311 Cannon House Office Building. The bill text will be forwarded once it is available.

"The Subcommittee's hearing will focus on the MODERN Security Credentials Act, which requires the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to streamline and eliminate redundancies in various transportation security credentialing regulations. My bill takes a crucial step toward streamlining government regulations, which we expect to result in greater savings and less red tape for hard-working men and women who rely on security credentials for their livelihoods.”
